Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director for International Maritime Radars Requirements and Capabilities to lead campaigns to grow Raytheon's scalable, modular radar technology into an international franchise through the identification, qualification, refinement and vigorous pursuit of validated opportunities for applications of the maritime radars including potential land-based opportunities. The Associate Director develops, gains leadership approval and aggressively executes campaign strategies. In close coordination with the Raytheon International country teams, the Associate Director will develop relationships with international customers that desire maritime radars solutions to meet their defense needs. The Associate Director will also work closely with the maritime radar technology Product Area Directors and other Functional professionals to develop strategies and align resources to win qualified opportunities in each potential customer country.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain business relationships with potential customers and their US government counterparts
- Provide subject matter expertise in US and international customers' procurement process and acquisition strategy
- Participate in the development of strategic plans and country strategies
- Prepare and request international licensing and agreements
- Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
- Travel: approximately 30% International and Domestic
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 12 years prior experience with shipboard military radars, naval operations, DoD program management, or Advanced Degree and minimum 10 years' experience
- Experience in business development, defense acquisition, and/or naval operations experience
- Experience working with international governments and their agencies and the associated US Government counterparts
- Leadership or program management related international experience to lead a team to achieve set goals and objectives
- Surface Warfare Officer with command experience in naval surface combat systems, sensors, and effectors
Qualifications We Prefer
- Working knowledge of the U.S. Navy and Government processes for obtaining approval for international marketing and of arms exports and sales
- Knowledge of Aegis Combat Management System Integrated Air and Missile Defense capabilities

- Subject matter expertise in naval surface operations and programs
- Strategic thinking with a proven track record of success; capable of assessing current and future maritime warfighting capabilities and requirements and developing innovative solutions to solve customers' most difficult problems
- Proven leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for achieving mission success for our customers
