Job Description

As a Graduate Production Operations Engineer, you will be instrumental in implementing Production Data Management Solutions (PDMS). Your primary focus will be ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of products, solutions, and services. This role requires close collaboration with operations teams, leveraging technical expertise, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.

The candidate needs to be based in Benghazi, working from home or at the client's site. Occasional travel to our office in Tripoli can be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in the area of expertise throughout the Sales and Product and Service Delivery process.
• Ensure that product code and artifacts are managed and safeguarded in a configuration management system in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
• Apply usability procedures and principles as defined at the project or product-line level or through customer input.
• Design testing procedures and coordinate with others to implement and automate tests.
• Develop and execute unit tests.
• Ensure and monitor source code quality by using appropriate tools.
• Provide timely corrective actions on assigned defects and issues.
• Compile and install database systems, write complex queries and scale to multiple machines.
• Lay the groundwork for a Data Analyst or Data Scientist to easily retrieve the needed data for their evaluations and experiments.

The Individual

• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or information technologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Oil & Gas production is essential.
• Knowledge of programming languages or data management is a plus.
• Fluent English proficiency is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
• A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• The candidate needs to be based in Benghazi (Libya)
