Job Description Summary

At GE Aerospace, our Field Service Engineers (FSEs) are the embodiment of our core behaviors: Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and being Customer Driven. Based permanently at the customer’s site in the Paris area, you will be their on-site technical focal point, supporting operational issues, troubleshooting, and fleet management.
This role is on-site and customer facing, with regular presence at Paris Orly Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Basé(e) en permanence chez notre client dans la région parisienne, vous êtes son référent(e) technique sur site, en charge du support opérationnel, du dépannage et du pilotage de la flotte.
Ce poste est entièrement sur site et au contact direct du client, principalement sur les aéroports de Paris-Orly et Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Job Description

Your Role

As a Principal Engineer / Field Service Engineer embedded at the customer’s site, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, remotely connected to GE Aerospace hubs, and will:

  • Provide leadership and technical support
    Offer technical direction and assistance for the customer’s operations, inspections, maintenance, and repair of the assigned engine fleet.

  • Act as a customer advocate
    Deliver prompt, effective solutions to customer issues, building trust and driving long-term partnerships between GE Aerospace and the airline.

  • Monitor and improve reliability
    Track on-wing performance and reliability, including significant events, engine removals, delays, and cancellations. Influence airline stakeholders to implement critical reliability improvements.

  • Enhance maintenance planning
    Influence and support maintenance planning to ensure fleet stability, availability, and operational continuity.

  • Evaluate maintenance effectiveness
    Review and challenge maintenance actions to identify opportunities for technical and process improvement.

  • Apply continuous improvement (FLIGHT DECK principles)
    Identify proactive reliability enhancements and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with both the customer and GE Aerospace teams.

  • Leverage data analytics and reporting
    Produce data analyses, dashboards, and timely reports on fleet status, events, trends, and program updates for key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide proactive maintenance recommendations
    Use engine performance analytics to recommend proactive maintenance actions and risk-mitigation measures.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • ABachelor’s degree in Engineeringor a technical field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Experience inairline operations,maintenance planning,engineering,aviation propulsion, or a similar domain
  • Strongtechnical expertisein aircraft engines or turbomachinery
  • Experience usingsoftware tools or data analyticsto support technical decision-making and provide recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strongoral and written communication skills, with the ability to build deep relationships at all levels, both with the customer and with internal teams
  • The ability to workautonomouslyon the customer site while remaining closely connected to remote GE Aerospace teams
  • Fluency in Frenchand a very good level of technical English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly betweenParis OrlyandParis Charles de Gaulleairports
