WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Data Platform Technical Program Manager plays a critical role in shaping how Teach For America uses data to drive impact. In this role, you’ll lead the execution of complex, cross-functional data initiatives that power decision-making across the organization—turning strategy into reality through disciplined delivery and strong technical partnership.
As a product-minded TPM, you’ll work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to bring the data platform vision to life. You’ll translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable plans, ensure work is well-sequenced and aligned to priorities, and help deliver scalable, well-integrated solutions that support innovation across TFA.
You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating deeply across teams; navigating ambiguity, connecting technical and business domains, and keeping momentum across the data platform pod. This is an opportunity for an experienced TPM who enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, and who is energized by building systems that enable others to do their best work.

Own day-to-day program operations for the data platform pod, including intake, prioritization, sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking using agile frameworks and tools such as Jira.
Manage complex, multi-workstream initiatives with interdependencies, balancing scope, timelines, and resources to deliver consistent outcomes.
Technical Translation & Product Partnership

Partner with data engineering teams to document current-state architecture, data flows, and dependencies in a way that is accessible and durable.
Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to refine requirements, sequence work, and ensure shared understanding of outcomes and tradeoffs.
Data Platform & Architecture Alignment
Partner cross-functionally across IT domains to ensure data platform initiatives align with broader enterprise architecture and technical roadmaps.
Support the evolution of data architecture by identifying opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, data quality, and usability in service of business needs.
Maintain a holistic view of the data ecosystem, helping teams anticipate downstream impacts and integration considerations.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
Provide clear, consistent communication on progress, risks, and delivery status to both technical and business stakeholders.
Develop and present roadmaps, plans, and status updates that support decision-making and transparency.
