Advanced Solution - Assistant Systems Engineer

The Junior Systems Engineer will be involved in the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of z/OS environments, contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of our mainframe systems.

Requirements

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the z/OS systems.
• Support ongoing system operations, including performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with senior programmers and IT staff to resolve system issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
• Participate in the development of proposals and presentations to management and clients.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Learn and apply best practices for system security and user access management.
• Assist in the identification of additional service opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to our clientele.
• Work with clients and Pellera team to ensure the solution meets the client’s business objectives.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in mainframe technologies.
• Other duties, as assigned.
