About This Role

The Backend Software Engineer focuses primarily on developing and maintaining application tasks supporting customer data import and process workflows. In addition, the role contributes to the design and optimization of complex T-SQL import scripts for high-volume data processing. This position collaborates closely with the implementation team to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of assigned projects and deliver high-quality solutions from development through deployment and support.
Design, develop, and maintain claim import implementations.
Troubleshoot, enhance, and support the scoring workflow processes.
Ensure data security and confidentiality in compliance with company standards.
Understands and complies with all company Privacy and Security standards.
Participate in ongoing professional development and continued learning initiatives.
Participate in an on-call support rotation to provide after-hours coverage for critical systems and applications.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of T-SQL or related database development. experience in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET 8+.
Experience with Git source control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to independently manage tasks and prioritize effectively in a demanding environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team.

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:

Must have high speed Internet (satellite is not allowed for this role) with a minimum speed of 25mbs download and 5mbs upload.
